Cotton, dry; flax, dry; sisal, dry; and tampico fiber, dry are not subject to the requirements of this subchapter when they are baled in accordance with ISO 8115, “Cotton Bales—Dimensions and Density” (IBR, see § 171.7 of this subchapter) to a density of not less than 360 kg/m 3 (22.1 lb/ft 3) for cotton, 400 kg/m 3 (24.97 lb/ft 3) for flax, 620 kg/m 3 (38.71 lb/ft 3) for sisal and 360 kg/m 3 (22.1 lb/ft 3) for tampico fiber and transported in a freight container or closed transport vehicle.
