The nitrite ion has the chemical formula NO2–. Nitrite (mostly sodium nitrite) is widely used throughout chemical and pharmaceutical industries. a. The standards for transporting a single bulk hazardous material for blasting by cargo tank motor vehicles (CTMV); and
b. The standards for CTMVs capable of transporting multiple hazardous materials for blasting in bulk and non-bulk packagings (i.e., a multipurpose bulk truck).
